Concentration Area: Competitiveness and Sustainability The Competitiveness and Sustainability concentration area focuses on studies related to the organizational activity that seeks to be competitive without losing the characteristics of framing the qualification of sustainability practices in its various operation areas, especially the activities that, directly or indirectly, are related to agribusiness. It contemplates two research lines especially complementary to meet the city and region vocation, the line of strategy and competitiveness and the line of sustainability in agribusiness.
Research Lines Research Line 1: Strategy and Competitiveness This research line focuses on the administrative practices of organizations and the strategic diagnosis, as well as their competitive and cooperative dynamics. It also analyzes scenarios interpretation, the evolution of the competitive potential and Strategy as a sustainable social practice.
Research Line 2: Sustainability This line focuses on the concepts and practices of environmental management, investments and the accounting treatment of organizations in the agribusiness value chain. Additionally, enterprises' sustainability is studied in the context of innovation and competitiveness.
Objectives Main Goal: To train highly qualified professionals, through the application of technical-scientific knowledge, which enables the development of competitive and sustainable solutions in organizations and agribusiness.
Specific goals: a) To empower professionals to intervene in the administration of organizations to diagnose, manage and generate wealth; b) To develop studies for the improvement of competitiveness and sustainability in agribusiness and other productive base segments; c) To develop studies for the improvement of competitiveness and sustainability in agribusiness and other productive base segments.
